Obituary for Evelyn L. Dowell
EVELYN L. DOWELL, 73 years, of Street, MD, passed peacefully in her home on Monday, December 10, 2018. Born April 2, 1945 in Fountain Green, MD, she was a daughter of the late Earl M. and Joan E. (Joines) Crouse. She was the beloved wife of J. Eugene Dowell for 55 years.
A kind, gentle, Christian woman, Evelyn attended Faith Baptist Tabernacle of Whiteford, MD. She was an avid flower gardener and enjoyed the beauty of nature. Her family cherished her loving manner and commented that she adored spending time with them and her many friends.

Two children;
Regina and her husband Edward Chmielewski of Rocks, MD
Edward and his wife Susan Dowell of Moody, TX
Three sisters;
Martha Elliott of Scottsdale, AZ
Geraldine Broumel of Goodyear, AZ
Judith Kautsch of Hilton Head, SC
One brother, Roger Crouse of Charlotte, NC
Three grandchildren: Jessica Jackson and her husband, Casey; Christopher Chmielewski and Mark Dowell.
Viewings will be held on Thursday, December 13, 2018 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street Delta, PA 17314 where the funeral service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. Pastor John Davis and Pastor John Crouse will co-officiate where interment will be held in Bel Air Memorial Gardens, Bel Air, MD. Staff will be located outside to assist with parking and handicap needs.
